Apple Season Starts Late August and Usually Runs Until the Thanksgiving Weekend

Apple Varieties

  • Pristine - Early season.  Eating apple with a crisp, citrus bite.  Can be used for baking.

  • Ginger Gold - Early Season.  Eating apple with a juicy, crisp bite.                

  • Red Free - Early season.  Eating apple with a sweet balanced taste and a bit of tartness.

  • Sunrise - Early season.  Eating apple with a sweet/sharp flavour and crunchy crisp flesh.

  • Lobo - Mid season.  Eating and cooking apple with juicy, tart/sweet firm flesh.

  • Prima - Mid season.  Eating and cooking apple with a sweet flavour and juicy flesh.

  • Sweet Sixteen - Mid season.  Eating and cooking apple with firm, crisp aromatic flesh.  Slightly acidic.

  • Ambrosia - Mid-late season.  Eating apple that is low in acid with a pleasant flavour and sweetness.

  • Honey Crisp - Mid-late season.  Eating apple with sweet, crunchy juicy flesh.  Slightly acidic.

  • Empire - Mid-late season.  Eating apple with juicy, crisp white flesh.

  • Spencer - Mid-late season.  Eating apple with sweet, crispy, juicy flesh.

  • Honey Gold - Late season.  Eating apple with crunchy, sweet, low acid flesh.  Very thin skin.
  • Crimson Crisp - Late season.  Eating and cooking apple with a rich, sweet, sharp, spicy flavour.
  • Spartan - Late season.  Eating and cooking apple with sweet, crisp and juicy flesh.  Like a MacIntosh, but sweeter.
  • Liberty - Late season.  Eating and cooking apple with juicy flesh.  Like a MacIntosh, but with a sharper flavour.

 

Prices

It is $12 per person 3 years old and up to enter the orchard.  This price includes a 5lb bag of pick your own apples.  This is a minimum purchase and is not refundable.  The apples are $2.40/lb, $48 for a half bushel/20lb bag.  You're welcome to bring your own containers to pick in or we can provide you with a bag.  Please call ahead or check our website for a crop update before coming.
